Our History
The congregation, which was to become the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene, first organized in the spring of 1904. There were approximately twenty (20) charter members. In 1908, the Church of the Nazarene as a national organization was formed at Pilot Point, Texas. The objective of the denomination was the preaching and promotion of Christian holiness among believers, and a vigorous evangelistic enterprise in America and around the world. There were approximately sixty (60) congregations in Arkansas that joined the newly formed denomination including Greenbrier. The Church has gone through several building programs over these past 100 years, and we continue to remodel and add to our existing campus in order to best serve our congregation and community. At the present time, our average morning worship attendance is over 350. God has so richly blessed us over the span of over a hundred years. He has been so faithful to provide for our every need.
